Most secondary characters are little more than plot devices and while they can be used in a number of interesting ways (again, trying to avoid spoilers) they never feel like real people. There’s little real depth to the characters, who all have their personalities set in stone with little justification for any changes from the first game.
The Last Of Us Part 2 is 24 hours long and it feels like a bloated mess. And yet the show is able to do so much more with its time than the game, which could have been as long as it wanted, since it makes far less difference to the budget than a live action production. The game is around 15 hours long and the show has nine episodes, so is going to be under nine hours long in total. In the game, I bet 90% of people never even realised he was supposed to be gay.Īlthough I do think it’s overrated, I’m not really criticising the game but I think it shows, once again, that the best storytelling game is still barely close to average for a decent show or movie. Yet in the show he’s a real highlight, not to mention one of the most sympathetic and natural portrayals of a gay person I’ve seen in an action series. And in her search for others, she finds things awry in the gallery. While observing the many exhibits, she suddenly realizes she is alone. A young girl named Ib visits an art gallery with her parents. I had no idea what his name was in the game and would never have even considered him in a list of memorable characters or moments. Ib (pronounced 'Eeb,' similar to 'Eve') is a freeware horror adventure game by kouri made in RPG Maker 2000. A completely unremarkable character in the game, that’s just a simple ‘gruff but helpful’ friend character trope.
